The impact of wars transcends physical borders. They create emotional and psychological scars that persist for generations, sowing seeds of resentment and hatred among communities. Trust erodes, and hope fades in the constant shadow of violence and conflict.
Ukraine reveals to us pictures of horror at the doorstep of our borders, if indeed there is a dividing line with that other Europe. Unexpected images that take us back to a time we thought was behind us. Ravaged cities, destroyed infrastructure, shattered and divided families, and as a consequence, countless dreams torn apart.
The weakest link in conflicts are the children who will be irreversibly conditioned for the rest of their lives. Immaturity prevents them from interpreting and understanding what is happening. These are children who need to disconnect from reality and take refuge in their inner world; not to find an answer, but simply to cope with the fear and suffering they experience. During that time when dreams are abruptly cut short, there is little relief even in the sanctuary of imagination and memories.
This work is part of the European Unity collection, which Gómez Cambronero presented in November 2023 in a major solo exhibition at the European Parliament in Brussels.

In both cases, I will ensure that each artwork is carefully packaged to arrive in perfect condition and will provide any necessary documentation for customs or import.
