We had never faced anything quite like this in our time, much less from a position of presumed sufficiency in the face of threats. Reality showed that the power of containment exercised from our side is partially fictional and inexorably limited. Because the nature that exists beyond humanity retains the capacity to overwhelm all foresight and sow terror.
Science was put under the stress of creating effective, massive, and urgent formulas because the coronavirus arrived suddenly, targeting the most vulnerable. The tough months of the pandemic put us to the test. Society had to navigate through unanswered questions, rushed solutions, and fallacies that thrived on chaos. However, even though no one escaped the grip of the coronavirus, it also revealed the seams that weave an unequal world that always breaks at the weakest point.
The pain inherent in the loss of a loved one was compounded by the heartbreak of not being able to say goodbye. It will be difficult to fill that void, and at Grandpa’s house, sitting in his favourite chair, many will still need to continue waiting for the kiss that was stolen from them.
This work is part of the European Unity collection, which Gómez Cambronero presented in November 2023 in a major solo exhibition at the European Parliament in Brussels.

Shipping Service Provided by Me: I will coordinate the shipping and provide you with a detailed quote based on your location. This way, you can receive the artwork without worrying about the logistics.
Shipping Organized by the Buyer: If you prefer, you can arrange the shipping with the carrier of your choice. I will provide you with the dimensions, weight of the packaged artwork, and the pickup address (13250 – Daimiel – Spain).
In both cases, I will ensure that each artwork is carefully packaged to arrive in perfect condition and will provide any necessary documentation for customs or import.
